I'm EXCEPTIONALLY fond of AOTS. Its' a fab artistic takeover of a town (Maidenhead) and, basically, a huge endeavour that the AOTS team manage to pull off twice a year.
Not without some issues, like rain, but more on that later.

This year I booked a space in Demonstration Street (and, if you remember that far back,, I'd come second in the associated art magazine ArtStyle earlier on in the year) so I was ready to go with A2 Arthur prints and three tablets - one iOS, one Android and one Windows device.
As well as a few other images and prints for sale...
Which was fab... until the rain got into one of my folders and destroyed the prints I'd brought with me. That wasn't the best moment. They'd been covered under a gazebo... But I hadn't factored how much standing water there was seeping into the base of the portfolio... SIgh.
Regardless.... that didn't make it a bad day, that wasn't the fault of AOTS, and it's still an uber cool thing to be at. As part of demo street I ran three slots creating an image in each of the three devices with space for Q and A at the end (and a bit of happy blather during...) Fortunately I'm well able to draw and talk at the same time so these images - all created in around 20 minutes of actual drawing time - flowed happily and naturally.
The Flamingo was drawn on iPhone using Adobe Sketch app (I was talking about the connectivity of apps to desktop, of the Moleskine CC sketchpad, of factoring in the tablet into the overarching digital playground as that seemed to be the most interesting thing to the audience I had at the time). Ironic Penguin was drawn on a £20 Tesco Hudl in Autodesk Sketchbook app and Surfin' Marie was drawn on a Surface Pro 3 using ArtRage app.
So, a range then.
The Ironic Penguin image is so named as I'd hoped that the day would furnish me with some funds towards my next art purchase: a VR rig. Spoiler: I sold some artwork but no, didn't get there. Sigh. But I did draw a penguin playing with Tiltbrush (the VR art app of choice) drawn on the cheapest device on me. I did, however, possibly sell two Vive Pre and Tiltbrush combinations while talking to others which makes him a horribly ironic penguin, all things considered.

For a break - and to warm up - I popped into a nearby phone shop and found a Samsung with the worst case of screen burn I've seen in a device! So that had to be drawn on quickly...
And then that was it for another year. Well done Art On The Street :) Another fab showing :)
Now to carry on working out how to get the VR rig.... Hope the two people that buy theirs think of me when they load it up, sigh.
