I'm the wrong generation to be a Youtuber, per se. I'm more of a podcast sort of person as most of my time is spent either walking to work, working or, if I'm in front of a screen, drawing rather than watching.
But there are certainly people and groups who I follow on Youtube and one of them is Marques Brownlee who has an effortlessly cool manner and ability to chat tech. Even when he's criticising something he does it in such a positive manner that I like and appreciate.
Anyhow - last year he was given a piece of hardware from (at the time we thought) the new generation of iPhone: a sapphire screen. He put it through it's paces, and came up with a fab video.

However on first listen, probably distracted, I misheard it as a Samphire screen, which I liked the idea of more...

So the above image and video were drawn on an iPad 3 (at the time the highest spec iPad I had, I have a mini 2 at the moment although I still prefer the larger screen to draw on...) I was in my man-shed at the time and just sat and drew this over an hour and a half happy draw time. Can't remember the styli - probably a mix of Nomad, Stylus Sock, Jot Script and Dagi - but the app is definitely ArtRage. It's a fab app which allows you (if you remember to click on the correct button at the start) to output the animation file, which is a wonderful thing to see at the end of an image painting session...
One day I'll have free time (HA) and I'll try and do my YouTube channel properly. I've had a number of people tell me I should do app tutorials and styli reviews... I'm still in love with teaching though, and that's where the majority of my effort and energy goes. One day that love may diminish and then, hopefully, it won't be way too late to do a proper channel/video blog...
